Located on the Nooksack River, Everson is known for its scenic beauty and outdoor recreation.  The climate is mild and conducive to the agriculture that is so extensive in the valley.  Everson is bordered by foothills with Mt. Baker to the east.

Everson businesses enjoy a pastoral setting, and serve the surrounding farm families.  Everson has a diversified agrarian economy.  Dairy, produce, and wood products make up most of the employment, though light industrial is growing.  Full service utilities are availble within the Everson area.

Everson has three parks within city limits, as well as a golf course, two tennis courts, and a branch of the Whatcom County Public Library.
